wheat....


lets talk about wheat....  the demonized food....  watch out for gluten....  they say....  watch out for those carbohydrates....  they say....  especially if you are diabetic they say....  stay away from wheat and other grains because of the carbohydrates that will spike your blood sugar....  they say....  

is it a coincidence....  they so many people demonize gluten....  but then....  everyone talks about the benefits of wheat bran....  and the benefits of wheat germ....  and then then try to sell you the wheat bran separately....  or the wheat germ seperately....  or the components of wheat germ seperately....  as a supplement....  like β-sitosterol....  which is said to have benefits for the prostate....  

wheat....  a pound of wheat berries....  costs around one dollar....  and a pound of organic wheat berries....  costs around one dollar and fifty cents....

on the flipside....  one pound of wheat bran costs close to four dollars....  and one pound of wheat germ costs close to four dollars....  the biproducts cost around four times as much....  avoidance of the endosperm....  avoidance of gluten....  makes getting the other ingredients four times as costly....

one hundred grams of wheat berries....  or....  close to half a cup....  contain three mg of manganese....  approximately one hundred and thirty percent of the usrda....  and it contains ninety micrograms of selenium....  or one hundred and sixty percent of the usrda.... (1)  eye have been told to stay away from wheat....  because of my diabetes....   and eye have stayed away....  do you think that may be why eye am low on both of these essential nutrients....  nutrients that help the mitochondria function....  nutrients that help the thyroid function....  

eye am now supplementing both manganese and selenium....  they are both essential nutrients that eye am running low on....  selenium is important for the thyroid for some reason....  and eye am hypothyroid....  coincidence....  and....  manganese is important for mitochondrial function....  it helps fight free radicals within the cells....  is my deficiency in this nutrient partly responsible for my underperforming mitochondrial process....  and all of the oxidative stress that is running through my body....

eye have tried to fix these issues....  eye have tried to fix my deficiency in manganese and selenium....  by supplementing....  but....  ultimately....  eye want to get the nutrients from diet....  eye think that it is important to get these nutrients from diet....  my question is....  my theory is....  has our body adapted....  to receive these nutrients....  in combination with other nutrients....  found in certain foods....  because they are found together in foods....

eye also ask....  has cutting out carbohydrates....  has cutting out grains....  has cutting out wheat....  cured anyones diabetes....  eye think that cutting them out has helped people to manage their diabetes.....  it certainly helped me manage mine....  eye got my a one c down from seven to five point two....  by losing weight and cutting out grains and many other carbohydrates....  but....  eye have only learned to manage my diabetes....  eye have not cured it....  and....  cutting out grains....  just might have made my diabetes worse....  instead of better....  cutting out the manganese and selenium and other beneficial nutrients in grains....  just might have made my diabetes worse....  

cutting out carbohydrates has helped me to lower my a one c....  but it has not helped me to lower my fasting blood glucose....  my fasting blood glucose has continued to rise over the years....  despite a lower a one c....  am eye just masking the problem....  eye think so....

recently.... eye have been taking all kinds of antimicrobials....  some of them....  cinnamon and berberine....  are also supposed to help lower blood sugar too....  and....  my fasting blood glucose has started to drop since taking them....  slowly....  eye have started to see numbers that eye have never seen before....  like....  a fasting blood glucose of ninety-four....  when eye have not seen a number below one hundred in many many years....  and....  last night....  eye had a blood glucose reading of ninety....  that is the lowest reading that eye have ever seen....  eye am going to jump for joy....  if eye see something in the eighties anytime soon....  since eye have started monitoring my blood sugar....  eye have never seen a reading in the eighties....  eye have never seen a reading of ninety....  either....  so maybe eye should jump for joy today....  

eye have another question about wheat....  so....  β-sitosterol is supposed to be beneficial for the prostate....  my question is....  are the super powers of β-sitosterol more significant....  if it is taken in combination with campesterol....  another phytosterol found in wheat....  are its super powers magnified by all of the other nutrients found in wheat.... well....  are they....  does anyone know the answer to this question....

wheat also has α-tocopherol....  or....  vitamin e.... (2)  an essential vitamin....  that is very difficult to get the usrda from food....  but....  to confuse matters....  the us department of agriculture food data central database....  does not report that there is any vitamin e in wheat....  at least eye cannot find any report of it....  eye will provide the link here....  you tell me....  do you see any vitamin e....  and to make matters more confusing....  most of the research that eye have found....  tell you that wheat GERM has a lot of vitamin e....  but no mention of wheat....  what is up with that....  are people trying to hide the fact that wheat has vitamin e....  a nutrient that is hard to get from diet alone....  are they stearing us away from wheat for some reason....  eye know....  eye know....  eye know....  sometimes....  often times....  eye can be a little conspiracy theory in my thinking....  but....  all eye can say....  is....  whats up with that....  why is it so hard to find any data about vitamin e and wheat berries....
