ending recidivism....

when it come to recidivism....  the republicans are at fault here....  they will not allow prisons to rehabilitate criminals....  they seem to think....  prison should be about punishment....  only punishment....  never allowing a prison to help a ciminal get better....

and...  even worse....  they view the criminal....  as a career criminal....  the philosophy is....  once a criminal....  always a criminal....  shame on you....  they feel....  that a criminals record should never be expunged....  well....  tell me....  how is a FORMER criminal going to create a life for themselves....  

once a criminal has served their time....  their record should be expunged....  we need to come up with a system....  that punishes the person who will NOT let go of someones record....  once they have served the time....  

you cannot change....  if you are always looked at as a criminal....  you cannot make your life better....  people who love to remind people of their past crime....  after they have served their time....  should be punished....  they are ONLY holding on to someones past crime....  for their own selvish purposes....  to hold a criminal to their past crime....  keeps them from ever rising above you....  it is purely selfish....
