controlling our air conditioners....

eye just have to point out the stupidity of one environmental policy....  which is taking place in my city.... 

about five years ago....  someone....  decided to take control over my air conditioning units....  they decided for some stupid ass fucking reason to NOT allow me to turn my air conditioning down below sixty-eight degrees.....  my assumption....  to quote unquote....  save the environment....  at the expense of my health....  eye need the temperature to be around sixty-two degrees at night....  in order to achieve optimal sleep....  in order to achieve optimal health....  so....  in their infinite wisdom....  they FORCED me to make a small reduction in my carbon footprint....  but....  lack of sleep....  causes inflamation....  causes depression....  causes mental illness....  and leads to a whole slew of physical ailments....  SO....  let us say....  that dollars saved and spent equals carbon saved and spent....  let us say....  they saved a whopping thirty dollars a month in my utility bill over the summer months....  but did they really....  eye bought a fan....  eye open my window....  and run the fan every night....  and....  eye am looking into an air conditioning unit for my window....  that will probably cost more than thirty dollars a month to run in the summer months....  but....  let us also say....  eye end up becoming depressed....  because eye cannot sleep....  and because....  eye have no control over my life....  and....  eye start taking lamotragine....  and seeing a psychiatrist four times a year....  and a therapist once a week....  the lamotragine will cost me twenty five dollars a month....  and what is the environmental impact.... of having to produce the lamotragine....  and the psychiatrist will cost me twelve hundred dollars a year....  and the therapist will cost me five thousand dollars a year....  or....  more....  so....  in order to save three hundred and sixty dollars a year in my electricity consumption....  you fuckers created a sixty five hundred dollar per year expense for me....  and....  you can bet....  that....  the environmental impact of all of these new requirements in my life....  is significanty greater than the carbon reduction you achieved by forcing me to live with a higher room temperature at night....  AND....  eye am bipolar....  what if....  the lack of sleep causes a manic episode....  and eye have to go to the mental hospital for a month....  that right there....  that alone.... will cost society over fifty thousand dollars....   what is the carbon footprint of that fuck up....  and....  eye have not even touched upon the cost and environmental impact of all of the other health issues that you have caused....  because eye cannot achieve optimal sleep....  inflammation....  difficulty managing my diabetes....  sleep is critical for managing diabetes....  lack of sleep can cause obesity to....  if you think that eye am exagerating....  look at the diabetes and depression and obesity trends in this country....  do you fuckers....  who are destroying our quality of life....  in an effort to have a tiny impact on the environment....  have something to do with these trends....
