non-profit institutions....

what do you think of when you think of non-profits....  you think of a benevolent do gooder enterprise....  right....

well....  unfortunately...  that is not what you get....  non-profits suffer from the same ailments as for profit businesses....  they are empire builders....  they have significantly strong vested interests....  even a non-profit wants to grow....

so....  if you want to grow....  are you going to fix the problem that you set out to fix....  or....  are you going to make the problem worse....  the more peope that suffer from the problem that you were hired to fix....  the stronger you are....  the bigger you become....

eye know eye like to pick on the american diabetes association....  sorry ada....  but....  your is an easy one to point out....  if you are the ada....  do you make more money if there are a million people with diabetes....  or....  if there are a billion people with diabetes....  you make more the more people that have diabetes....  right....  so....  where is your incentive to cure diabetes....  you have none....  if you fix the problem....  you are OUT of a job....  and....  nobody wants to work their way out of a job....  at least not in THIS broken fucked up world....
