healthcare....

so many people think that a single payer healthcare system will answer all of their problems....  eye think that it will end up causing long waiting times.... on the phone....  for a doctors appointment....  and....  who is going to regulate the regulators....  if it is government run....

see....  eye prefer....  an entirely new system....  a hybrid system.....  with cooperation and competition....  a system....  where there is competition....  among health care insurance companies....  to gain the benefits of competition....  AND....  there is cooperation....  where there are benefits....  from cooperation....  you have cooperation....

and example of cooperation....  would be....  in how much insurance companies pay for drugs and doctors and procedures....  there should be one payment....  all insurance companies should pay the same....  for the same service...  instead of each insurance company negotiating what they will pay for services....  one committee decides what ALL insurance companies will pay for a service....

and....  eye think that you create a system....  where EVERYONE must accept insurance....  you cannot operate....  unless you accept insurance....  and....  all insurance companies....  have to accept everyone....  every doctor....  every drug....  every procedure....

however....  insurance companies do not have to pay for the entire procedure....  they pay the middle....  if you have three general practitioners out there....  one charges one hundred dollars....  another charges two hundred dollars....  and a third charges three hundred dollars....  then the insurance company pays two hundred dollars....

you no longer allow insurance companies to dictate....  what doctors will get paid....  it will encourage a lot more people to go into medicine....  because....  you will actually have a free market....  where doctors can get paid what they are worth....  rather than what the system tells them they can get paid....

if you knew what the middle was....  and that number can be obtained....  then....  creating a rate system....  is simple.... it can become automated....

now....  eye have not figured this all out yet....  eye can already see a problem....  if a doctor charges one hundred....  and the insurance company pays two hundred for the service....  where does the extra hundred go....  does it go to the patient....  if so....  then....  eye can see a problem right up front....  the patient will sign up for a whole bunch of treatments....  and use the lower cost doctor every time....  and then pocket the extra....  it will encourage a tremendous amount of over use of the system....  eye have to figure out this problem....  what to do about this problem....

but....  right off the bat....  eye can see three benefits....  everyone gets taken care of....  and....  perhaps....  the doctor who charges one hundred dollars....  has a longer wait time....  and the doctor who charges three hundred dollars....  has a shorter wait time....  but....  everyone gets taken care of....  no one goes without care....  and....  the second benefit.... the wealthy can get better healthcare....  because....  they DESERVE better healthcare....  they EARNED it....  AND....  there will not be a shortage of healthcare providers....  because....  there will be a market....  an open market....  and....  more people will want to become doctors....  and provide services....  because their rates will not be dictated....  by the system....  which means....  shorter lines....  shorter wait times....  in this system....  you get the benefits of both worlds....  actually....  you get benefits that you do not have in either of the current systems....

and....  we need a whole new system....  for....  drug funding....  look for the upcoming chapter....  it probably will be called....  drug funding....
