public transportation....
it is a fallacy.... that public transportation.... is less expensive.... that public transportation.... is better for the environment....
the government.... actually.... does not care if it less expensive.... or.... better for the environment.... all that they care about.... is dependency.... they want you to depend on them for all of your needs.... so that they can control you....
the perfect example of the ludicracy.... is within my hometown.... boulder.... is NOT big enough to have a mass transportation system.... boulder.... has too many wealthy people.... to have a public transportation system.... you do not know how many times eye see an empty bus drive by me.... EMPTY.... completely empty.... yet.... rather than shut down the innefficient public transportation system.... boulder tries to FORCE people to take the public transportation system.... they make driving a hassle.... by making redicoulusly slow speed limits.... by increasing traffic.... by taking away vehicle lanes.... by whatever method possible.... they want to frustrate us.... so that we get rid of our vehicles.... get rid of our independence.... and.... become dependent upon them.... they force developers to build buildings without enough parking spaces.... so.... once again.... we ARE forced to get rid of our vehicles.... but.... once again.... eye digress.... this is about the fallacy of the public transportation system.... not about the nefarious plan of FORCED dependency....
however.... eye must point out one other problem with the fuckers who run the city of boulder now.... in the days of old.... boulder.... WAS.... paradise.... if eye was the second car at a traffic light.... eye thought traffic was bad.... the city council protected boulder.... they created the blue line and green belt and height restrictions and low growth policies.... we HAD paradise....
then... these new fuckers came in.... they thought.... if the public transportation system does not fit the city.... we will MAKE the city fit the transportation system.... rather than making the transportation system fit the city.... so.... they decided.... let us grow the city.... let us make it portland.... let us grow the city.... make traffic so fucking bad.... that people will.... take the public transportation system.... or.... stop going places all together.... let us confine them.... to.... where ever they can walk within fifteen minutes.... because.... when we can confine people.... we can control them.... sorry for the side track.... it just really fucking pisses me off.... what they are doing to my city.... what they are doing to my paradise....
so.... back to the fallacy of public transportation.... governments have no fucking clue how much it costs.... to run a mass transportation system.... there is no one keeping them honest.... making them make sure that their system is cost effective.... or.... better for the environment.... they will tell you that a new system is going to cost x amount.... and.... then.... once they get you to vote for the system.... they tell you it will cost ten times that much.... or.... they will NOT build even half of what they promised.... like the system they promised us in boulder.... the fucking ghost train that was supposed to be built between boulder and denver.... we paid for it.... we are paying for it.... but it fucking does NOT exist.... there is NO ONE to keep the government honest.... in a for profit company.... when you do not find a way to make your product cost effective.... then.... you do not sell your product.... and.... your business goes OUT of business.... when the government is less efficient.... when the government is NOT cost effective.... they just end up TAKING more from us.... to pay for their outrageously expensive.... outrageously innefficient.... environmentally unfriendly.... projects....
